There are a few people who don’t love Swiss cheese. I know this for a fact because they tell me all about it when they come to the shop. But we think Swiss is a fun and versatile cheese that should be included in any cheese lover’s fridge.

Famous for its holes, Swiss cheese is well known for its large wheels (which can weigh up to 200 pounds!) and is also known by another name, Emmental. Did you know that the holes are called eyes, but if a cheese doesn’t have eyes, it’s called blind?

Things to pair with Swiss:
White wine and light beer, but give cider a try. And becuase it has that unique swiss taste try pickles or carmalized onions. I suggest the carmalized onion dip from Trader Joe’s.
