Quinta by Point Reyes

Okay so Quinta is basically what happens when Point Reyes (aka the folks who make that iconic Original Blue everyone knows) decided to get all fancy and Portuguese-inspired on us. They age this cow's milk cheese in their coastal caves for 4+ months, which sounds very dramatic and is actually very delicious. The result? Think nutty, sweet, caramelly vibes with these little crunchy tyrosine crystals that make your mouth happy. It's got this beautiful rustic rind and honestly looks like it just walked off a cheese board in Lisbon (in the best way). Point Reyes has been doing their thing in West Marin since 2000, and they're basically cheese royalty at this point - sustainable practices, oceanside aging caves, the whole deal.

Tasting Notes: Nutty, sweet, caramel, brown butter; this is spreadable. If it isn’t spreadable enough, pop it in the oven for a minute.

Pairing Vibes: This cheese LOVES a good IPA or an aged red wine. Pair it with apples, some fig jam, and crusty bread. Also excellent with literally any charcuterie you have lying around. Will absolutely steal the show on your holiday cheese board.
