September Cheese Club
Welcome to Wisconsin!
We all have a cheese story, and some of us have a Wisconsin cheese story.
My cheesy story involves Wisconsin and a bear. No, I didn't have to choose a bear. It just strolled casually in front of our car! If I had a good why did the bear cross the road joke, I would insert it here. My Wisconsin cheese story involved mixing up butterkase and bierkase. These are two very different cheeses, and to my horror, I learned that on a Memorial weekend at a lakeside cabin. I’m still shivering from the awful discovery. Yes, the bierkase left a more traumatic memory than the bear. I would have happily left that cheese on the side of the road.
Anyway, I hope you have nothing but fond memories of cheeses, and I hope the box we have picked for you is right up your alley.
Here are a few highlight vocabulary words from the descriptions.
Farmstead - cheese that is made where the cows are milked.
juustoleipä - finish squeaky cheese, you’ll find it on the Oh So Original page.
We hope you love this month’s selection.
